EBAX (Excel Business Application Exchange) is a methodology of taking data from a business application, modifiing it in Excel, and then putting the information back.  EBAX for CRM allows users to work with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.  EBAX users simply click a menu item to import CRM data directly to an Excel workbook. When ready, users simply click the “Update Data” menu item and the changes are updated to the CRM database server.
